NJC 08S12... Highly energetic!

08S12 Chalet! 15.12.08

Ok, I know you guys have been waiting for this post for a super, extremely, very very long time, haha so here it is! (I almost forget the username and password of this account too!) Sorry if I missed any details!

On 11th November 2008 Tuesday, a group of shuai ge and choi bu headed down to the cool and hip Aloha Changi Chalet for their one-in-a-life time stayover experience. (Although i think there will still be alot of this kind of stuff next year)

It was 12 noon and raining that day, however we had 3 helpful boys huijie, yipeng and me to drive us to Tampines Mall to buy the barbeque food for the night. Meanwhile, wei shuen and zi jia were early to wait for 3pm to strike so that we can enter the chalet.

By the time we arrived, there were a few more people, moyi, huiteng, jiaying, huiyong and yanjun. Yipeng had to leave halfway to return Mrs Kong's IC to her at somewhere in the west, and NEVER to be returned!

After that, we lugged the food into the chalet room, it wasn't very spick and span, but there was enough accomodation, given the number of people staying overnight and one of the toilet actually had a xiao qiang, but me and kah swee decided not to alert anybody HAHA!

We settled down, and did some miscellaneous stuff. Then for the next second, everybody almost disappeared, some say they want to rent bicycles and some went to fetch the other classmates. Then later 2 sleeping beauties went to the room to rest to have enough energy for cycling that night, but they did not have a peaceful night though, given the sporadic disturbances by some childish people. HAHA, not very good to mention names =p who acted as ghosts..

Then, huiyong, yanjun, kah swee and me went to rent some bicycles for the night. WE also had to help the rest to rent as well and the double bike we got was not in quite a good condition, given that it was the last bike left.

We give the uncle money earn, he dont have enough good bikes. -__- Anyway, he did tried his best so kudous to him!

Then later more people came, sarayu and meiling. And bbq started, the fire is horrendously bad luh, it took very very long to light up. So, we left kah swee and huiyong at the bbq stove, while zijia, meiling, moyi and wei shuen stayed in the kitchen to make the bee hoon and the bacon thingy. The rest went to get more bikes at the shop. the business was quite good on that day. but halfway to the bike shop, something happened between yan jun and jiaying, which i shall not say. And Sarayu saw her secondary school classmate, and chatted all the way until she almost lost us..

Tsk it was kind of bad, no balls to play, no frisbee, so only card games and mahjong there to accompany us. But the food was quite delicious that zijia's favourite animals, cats came! But, the usual animal-loving us fed them with burnt food, something like being a guinea pig lah haha! And the people at the stove were a little apprehensive in testing the food, cos they were afraid of half-cooked food haha!

On one occasion, a few cats almost came into the building, and zijia was shouting "Quick! Close the door!" HAHA, hilarious lah! tsk. So, the other half came, alwyn, yan wen, cassia, hui yi and jun long. Cassia had a bandaged foot after the freaky tennis incident, so pity her for being unable to ride the bike that night! So, at first we were playing mahjong.. and till the card game that junlong brought, Bang!

It was a new game and we took quite a while to learn it, alot of fun and laughter and we watched the 不凡的爱 and 法政先锋 on TV too! So alot of bridge, taitee, shouting, screaming..

And 12 pm struck and kah swee announced the cycling session. Oh, before I forget, junlong wanted to go and bathe at that time and asked huijie to come along, we were playing the Bang game until suddenly we heard a scream, LOL, there were a few guys outside the toilet saying junlong exposed himself! LOL! aiyah.. but it was just a phony so there were chay sounds around. HAHA, wonder what the two of them did inside.

And another incident happened..
As quoted from somebody's blog, " Then came the incident whereby the keys couldn't lock the lock, lol. Had alot of trouble until Sheng Kang said: Shit! I think it's the key! (another key in his pocket, and he has failed to realise it. Could have saved those trouble. But never mind.."

And so we all set off to East Coast Mac. Junlong was ferrying meiling, with kah swee and huiyi on double bikes. They with yan wen and wei shuen were the faster group. After them were moyi and zi jia, while alwyn and huijie took charge of the back as huiyong has just learnt cycling and huiteng and jiaying were having problems with their bikes. And so we cycled and cycled. By the time we reached there, everybody was almost dead. I could remember some were playing the computers there.

And so since we came here, we needed to cycle back! Jiaying and huiteng were too lethargic, and so they decided to wait till daybreak to come back by bus. And so we just cycled and cycled, and we hit

RAIN!

not the korean star.. but a small disaster, we had to cycle FURIOUSLY back, and poor huiyong was having some troubles. And we paddled like crazy and everybody was almost drenced once we reach back. (Imagine if I had lost the key this time! haha joking) And so the guys were collapsing on the sofa while the girls are bathing, I remember there was some very old chinese film on channel 8 at that time.. a couple committing suicide at the river.

And after that, zijia, alwyn, meiling, moyi, kah swee and huiyong were playing asshole taitee, while I was cleaning the kitchen. And kah swee went through the roller coaster rides of his life from being a king to an asshole. And he acted like some bimbo, I heard HAHA! And he had that sitting like a king stance when he was king which zijia also followed though.

It was 9.30am soon. And we ahd to return the bikes, I must say the pelvic bones of everybody (I think) must have heard that night after almost 35 km of cycling. After we came back, the same few played asshole and "Slapjack" and I lost quite a number of times as I was SLEEPY (haha crap excuse!) And so we checked out after that, and poor sheng kang had to help huiteng pay for the broken ass tray LOL!

Booked out and that marks the end of our wonderful wonderful chalet. Orh.... So sad. *sob-sob*

It was really a great time having to hang-out with this amazing class which is like the BEST in the whole of NJC!!! I really enjoyed myself and hope you guys did too!!! We shall have it again next year!!! Bye

Chalet dunnid to pay money! 22.10.08

Ok, so the latest news is that after the rebates and discounts a civil servant can enjoy, the total cost of the chalet is only S$30 and Mrs. Kong is proudly sponsoring us! So, we just have to pay the money for the BBQ stuff.

08s12 chalet. 30.9.08

Finally we have a chalet! Woohoo! It's NETHERAVON BGL A from 11-13 November at aloha changi.

NETHERAVON TERRACES A, B, C, D, E, and F

There are six chalets at our Netheravon Terraces. These double-storey terraces are fully furnished with

* a living room set with TV and games table; dining area;
* air-conditioned bedrooms, furnished with beds , wardrobes, dressers, bedside tables and wall fans;
* toilets/bathrooms with shower heater;
* BBQ pit and a fully equipped kitchen.

Netheravon Terrace A To F
3 bedrooms, 1 queen bed, 4 single beds, 2 common toilets, 2 common bathrooms
NB. 2 of the 3 bedrooms are located at the 2nd floor.
The suitable group size for day use is 25 persons only. 6 persons only for night use.

Ok, so how to get to Changi Village bus interchange? Take the east bound train to Tampines MRT station. Transfer to Bus no. 29.

Bring $15 for the chalet and money for your own meals; like supper or breakfast! It will only be enough for the first night of barbecue.

We will meet up in the afternoon at Changi Village bus interchange (outside bus 29 bus-stop at 1 pm) and have lunch at Changi Village. Meanwhile, it will be great to depoly few people to collect the keys and the Management team will settle all the lodging stuff before the majority enters. Or most likely, I will go with yi peng, the vice head of civic rep and Mrs Kong, the person who helped us book. So thoughtful right? Haha, and I have checked the check-in time starts at 3pm.

So u guys will be lugging the luggage during lunch and then we will place it in the chalet after that. Or if u find it "zor teng" then we can place all luggages first before we go for lunch but you have to wait for me and yp to collect the keys first.

And it will be great for anyone to bring additonal food or desserts. But pls inform me beforehand.

On the first night, we will be having barbecue. But before that, we will gather a few to go to Giant Supermarket which is in the vicinity to get the frozen foodstuff, charcoal, stingray and blah blah.. Meanwhile, the rest will prepare the night games for the night such as the Haunted House game, water bomb, and night walk(if anyone is interested). Meanwhile, I will need a few volunteers to bring 3 mahjong sets. and we hope that this chalet is strictly OUT of video games, but if anybody is interested, do bring some DVDs to watch.

And so far, for first intakers, there's onli lei hoi and cecilia who said that they are coming. No to worry, i will go ask the rest who did not respond. And I think it's possible to ask some of the teachers to come, esp. maybe Mrs Kong who kindly helped us to book the chalet, Mr.Tek, Mr. Neo and Mrs. Chee. (We may need their cars to ferry things)

Oh and the estimated cost will be 15 dollars pax. 8 dollars each for the chalet (200/24 is around 8) and roughly 7 dollars per person for BBQ stuff adn miscellaneous stuff like air-con which costs everyone 5 dollars per day. And bring additional cash for supper, breakfast, and maybe some of them want to drink alcohol at night. The leftovers will be used as next year's notes fund.

Oh and remember to bring slippers!

Outing at Marina Sqaure 27.9.08

Well, today 11 of us went to Marina Square to have bowling, arcade, talk cock and made a lot of noises! Thank you for your presence, Kah Swee, Alwyn, Letts, Ber Fong, Yan Wen, Wen Han, Veron, Hui yi, Jiaying, Huiteng! Oh and we played some forfeit where Yan Wen had to call Cassia to express his SINCERE love to her by saying he nids her toilet at home! LOL, we suggested him saying things like "wah..buay ta han." Very very amusing session.

Since next week is like an on-off week right, there will be an outdoor session at East Coast Park, which includes cycling and stuff. I will do some PLANNING to it.
